Every now and then something comes along that changes the landscape of current business practices. The opening of REALTY EXECUTIVES Premier is already causing people to stand up and take notice. On April 11, 2008 Mike and Pam Tezak will officially open the doors to their first REALTY EXECUTIVE office at 310 E. Lincolnway in downtown Valparaiso. “We are so excited that we were offered the opportunity to bring this company to our region.” says Pam.

Since starting in Real Estate, Tezak has never been comfortable with the status quo. In an industry that is plagued with so many negative stigmas, he kept thinking there had to be a better way. So he, and his wife Pam, sat down and created a business model for what they felt could be a great brokerage. “We wanted to create a company with great business ethics that supported good family values, and the communities in which we live. When we found REALTY EXECUTIVES it was a natural fit”

Realty Executives is a Phoenix based, international company, founded in 1966.With over 800 offices representing all 50 states, 16 countries and with over 16,000 EXECUTIVES, REALTY EXECUTIVES is a major player in Real Estate.  Publications like Entrepreneur, Success and Inc. Tezak says they have amazing support from their regional developers. “If we call with a question, we have an immediate response. They have been truly incredible.” he says.  Maybe that is why Tezak doesn’t seem overwhelmed. He says it’s been “almost fun”. We don’t have to re-invent the wheel. We can take the best tested ideas and put them in place if we want. They have given us the freedom and flexibility to create our own business, without leaving us to feel as if we are doing it on our own.  Pam says “you want to know something really cool?... You know how people tell you if you need anything to just call. Well, while we were at franchise training in Arizona, Rich Rector the president/ CEO of the company told us just that.”  Tezak said they decided to take him up on that offer. “Well, the other day we had a question, not so much a question, more like a small favor, so we decided to pick up the phone and call him, while he was at a meeting in Australia. You know what HE CALLED US BACK!” Pam says with a gleam. “To me that speaks volumes about his dedication to the individuals of our company. He could have easily blown off the call or had someone else call, because it wasn’t that important. But he took the time out to personally call us. That confirmed what we already knew… that we had made the right decision with this company.”

REALTY EXECUTIVES is founded on a simple principal … people who take the initiative to succeed, should be wholly compensated for their efforts. In an industry that focuses on the average agent, REALTY EXECUTIVES is the company that provides the systems and tools for the productive real estate professional. “We will definitely NOT be the company for all agents. We are not going to be the company for most new, part time or “dabbler” agents.” says Tezak “We are a real estate company for the full time, multi- million dollar producing EXECUTIVE.”

“Let’s be honest… none of this is rocket science” says Pam. “Mike, myself and everyone affiliated with us will operate on five basic core values…is it truthful, is it fair, is it profitable, is it on purpose, and is it consistent. This applies to our clients, our selves, our community and our company.  If all of those are met then we know that it’s a good business decision.”

When asked if he has concerns about the timing of his opening with the current market conditions Tezak smiles and says. “This is exactly the kind of market that our EXECUTIVES will thrive in. This is the time when experienced agents are in the most demand.” In housing markets like this even the slightest mistakes can cost thousands of dollars and buyers and sellers understand this, right now experience and knowledge are indispensable.”

The 310 E Lincolnway office is just the first step. The way they are set up, Tezak represents a region. Tezak hopes to have their second office open within 6 months with a third coming in a year. Again, this benefits our EXECUTIVES. We can open multiple satellite offices under one broker. This eliminates the confusion of who owns what office and what EXECUTIVE works where. The EXECUTIVES have home offices but they will be able to utilize any of the others. So if they are meeting with clients near another office they may utilize the space.

We are on the cutting edge of technology from IP phone systems, wireless networks, web conferencing to virtual floor time. Not only do we have the technology available but our office and our EXECUTIVES will be able to take it to the next level. We understand that technology is the primary tool that EXECUTIVES use but at the end of the day this is still a client service based business. We will require and expect our EXECUTIVES to treat clients with the respect, honesty and the complete competence they deserve.

The one area that the Tezaks are unwavering is the commitment of their EXECUTIVES to give back to the community in which they live. We want our EXECUTIVES to pick something that they truly believe in and either volunteer, sponsor or contribute in some way. We are all so busy that we can forget that it is the little things that make our communities’ grow stronger. We want our EXECUTIVES to realize how great our region truly is. The only way to do that is to get out there and get involved. Habitat doesn’t exist everywhere so while it is our primary charity, there are others out there and Tezak plans to continue that initiative at his office.
